If
you've ever wondered what
happened to the original Aramaic and Hebrew teachings of
Y'shua, here's where you will find some answers.
The Aramaic in which the Scriptures were originally
written is called the Peshitta, it has been continuously
available since the first Century. Although
religious traditions in the West prefer the Greek texts,
the fact is that neither Y'shua or his disciples
communicated in Greek. Most people are aware that
the Good News was introduced to the Gentile world after
the death and resurrection of Mashiyach, and that
Mashiyach raised up Jewish, not Greek disciples.
The importance of this toward understanding the Kingdom
of Elohim cannot be overstated. The Greek language
has been more culturally available and accepted by the
West than Aramaic, but the fact is that there are many
revelations hidden in the Aramaic language that never
made it into Greek texts.
Andrew Gabriel Roth specializes in the language of the
Aramaic Peshitta, as a follower of Mashiyach he brings
the Aramaic writings alive and doesn't water down the
text to please status quo religions. Andrew has
reviewed many translations of the Aramaic, and he shows
how Christian influence has attempted to rewrite even
ancient texts, to fit "modern" thinking.
For those who want to access some of the most beautiful
insights, poetry and revelations of the original texts,
both Ruach Qadim and the Path to Life will provide great
blessings. Aramaic has evolved over thousands of
years, the Aramaic
language can be dated to five periods, dating from
inscriptions that go back to the first millennium BCE:
•
Old Aramaic, 925-700 BCE
•
Official or Imperial (Assyrian) Aramaic,
700-200 BCE (language was uniform)
•
Middle Aramaic, 200 BCE - 200 CE
•
Late Aramaic, 200-700
•
Modern Aramaic, 700 to our time
Andrew provides foundational teaching for the reader to
explore the most important book on earth, what
Christians call "the New Testament", according to the
most ancient originals available to mankind. |
